Week 2: Lower Body

When we think of lower body strength, hips and legs come to mind, but feet, ankles and knees are often overlooked and as such, our yoga practice and our mobility can suffer. Most of us sit for a good portion of the day which can cause our hip flexors to become weak and limit our range of motion. If your lower body is unstable you will have problems with balance and movement.  Learn how to activate your entire lower body in a fun and engaging way to safely support standing and balance postures.

All levels welcome. Props provided.

Yoga Nidra for World Sleep Day

It is said that a 35-45 minute practice can be equivalent to a 3-4 hour nap. How glorious does this sound? This is how I was first introduced, but the practice is so much more than this. Allow me to share more, and join me on Friday, March 15, as I guide you through a free Yoga Nidra practice from the comfort of your own home.

I’m often asked what exactly is the practice of Yoga Nidra. If you’ve not heard of it, or experienced this style of meditation before, it is accessible to all levels — whether you’re a veteran to meditation of you’ve never sat before. Check out this blog post that I wrote on some of my most commonly asked questions.
