The day I claimed, writer.
The moment was quiet. Yet one of deep remembrance.
I’d been ghostwriting and copyediting for others in one form or another for nearly two decades, while supporting the building of their brands, their voice, their presence. While I loved a good red pen moment (still do), a piece of me was being summoned to write more, and not only for others. Not only weave their story through various mediums, but drop a word of my own.
I’ve lost count of number of times I’ve heard the words: “where is your book” or “can’t wait for that book”…
So I stopped revisiting the silence of the wilderness, asking for some sort of confirmation. I simply began to write as a devotional practice. To pull out my hundreds, if not thousands of phone notes, and be willing to hit publish. To answer with reverence, every part of me that said: “it’s time”.
And the moment I answered? Words began to pour out, and haven’t stopped . There are books in me. But for now, enjoy my musings and contemplations here.

Put Your Pen To Paper
Ready to simplify your task list, choose freedom in simple structure & create with more presence?
To put your pen to paper and let the creator in you come alive again?
In an age where short, snappy, written and repurposed by AI, is prevalent, return to your voice. Use it. Attune it. Share it. Have the audacity to tune it. Return to the art of pouring your words onto the page—whether simply for you, or for others to receive.
I created this free Pomodoro Planning Sheets to offer you a series of practices I’ve implemented many times over the years when creating focused time blocks that felt like easeful structure. They have been especially supportive in those moments when I needed to work up the gumption that maybe you’re working up now, in order to hit publish (or simply get started on what brings me more joy!)
Look, I’m not novelist (yet).
But I am saying this to the version of me that needed to hear these words, because I know I’m not alone: There are people with a fraction of the experience you have, putting pen to paper, picking up the mic, making the call, and doing the things. And heaven-forbid, not even doing that, but letting wee little robots determine what wisdom they’re destined to drop.
The world is waiting for your words. Your art. Your genius. Someone wishes you had the gumption. So drop the story that you’re adding to the noise. Exercise your God-given gifts.

If you’re wanting to refine more of what you’ve got rolling, and fresh strategic perspective is the fire under your rear, book a Tea Talk and let’s actually get pen to paper.
