Don’t hold back.

Poured a bath, and this poured out of me.

Don’t hold back.

Your imagination is limitless.
Your love is boundless.
Your humility is endless.
Your time is finite.

You only have the now moment.
Reflection on what was, has its place.
Imagining the ideal, has its place.

Your impact is in the now moment.
So you may as well go bold.

It doesn’t need to be a loud announcement.
But take bold internal action.
Make a choice.
Make a decision.

And for the love of God, don’t hold back.

Say the thing.
Publish the post.
Record the episode.
Make the call.
Write the book.
Host the dinner.
Mail the letter.
Paint the canvas.
Get on the stage.
Sign up for the class.

Even in the face of opposition.
Because every visionary faces the opposition.
So how are you willing to move through the contractions when they arise?

Start with one thing.
One thing.
And don’t hold back.

In a world where everyone’s focused on capturing attention in 3.7 seconds, pour your whole heart into something like you mean it.

The person who needs to hear it will hear it.
The person who needs to read it will read it.
The person who needs to feel it will feel it.

Drop the story that you’re adding to the noise (I know I needed to).

Speak life into your life like God is moving through you.

Your story matters.
Your joy matters.
Your tenderness matters.
Your presence matters.

Yes, strategy matters.
And also, just do the thing already.
Do it because it breathes life into your life.
Do that. And don’t hold back.

We only have the now moment.

Even in the tenderness, your heart can feel the expansion. Your joy can bring a much needed smile. Your clarity can be the lightening bolt someone needed.

I was recently reminded of the infamous Yoda quote: “Do or do not. There is no try.”

So do the thing.
Don’t hold back.
If for no one else, yourself.

Because trust me, God sees every bold action, every quiet post that only your bestie and your mom liked (love you guys!).

Don’t mistake slow for not witnessed.

You’re always being refined and worked—even in the tenderness, and even in the joy.

The way you breathe life into your life, it is always seen.

And it always serves.

So ask yourself this:

Where in your life are you presented with opposition right now, in a way that amplifies your tenderness?
When reflecting upon this area with said opposing forces, can you notice how this is an invitation for you to persevere?
And what gift might be available for you within it, should you choose to persevere?

If these reflections and journal prompts feel resonant, access these and more across a complete 21-day self-paced audio journey, named Tender, here.
